Steve spent 20 years in the entertainment industry. He started his career at Sony Music London as Head of Production. In this role, Steve was responsible for the production of music videos and long-form programming for the entire roster of the European company and worked with a number of award winning directors and artists.
Subsequently, Steve moved to Los Angeles and was part of the management team that prepared the successful business plan for $25M for the financing of New York based Winter Films. In his position as Vice President of Development and Production, he developed the BRONTE project with Bruce Beresford (Oscar winning director) and EVERY TIME WE SAY GOODBYE with Bo Goldman (Oscar winning writer). Steve also produced HANGINGAROUND, a romantic comedy set in Nantucket, staring Peter Facinelli, Lena Heady, Michelle Hicks, Lesley Ann Warren and Fred Ward; and featuring original recordings from the Counting Corws.
As well as his feature film work, Steve was also responsible for creating the concept and package for TO CHINA WITH LOVE, the salacious story of double agent Katrina Leung which also sold to Fox Television Studios. Joan Chen and William H Macy were attached in the lead roles with Larry Gross writing the script. He was also attached as an Executive Producer to a topical Iraqi account, DEVIL'S DOCS, featuring the war journals of Sanjay Gupta, an embedded CNN journalist. This story was the basis of a television movie at TNT.
Back in the UK, Steve was the Executive Producer for STARLIGHT: FOR THE CHILDREN, a 10-part wish fulfillment series for Five and is in pre-production in the US with THE KING OF CHROME, a motorbike design series.
